I was classically trained and began as an opera performance major.  Discovering that my heart really lay in
Musical Theatre, I then graduated with a BFA from BYU.  I subsequently traveled around the world
performing on Disney Tours and Cruise ships.  After that, I settled down to a couple of National Tours
and some regional theatre, landing my Equity card at Stages St. Louis.  My Broadway debut was
Joe's Cafe.  Subsequent Broadway productions included the Boy from Oz with Hugh Jackman where I
performed as the soprano in his back up trio.  I also was the Fairy Godmother in
Shrek the Musical and
the voice of the Bluebird.  I landed many of my contracts from being able to sing classically AND Belt in
different styles.  Being versatile is essential to work in New York.
As a teacher I was the Musical Theatre Director and taught voice, dance and
musical theatre performance classes
for Rutgers prestigious Summer Acting
I teach acting, voice and musical theatre for Papermill Playhouse's
Summer Intensive
and am co director for the August Intensive Showcase.  I
created the musical theatre program for Kimberly Montclair's Talents Explosion,
have taught voice for several dance studios as well as serving residencies in
various schools
throughout NYC and NJ for both Together in Dance and NJPAC.
I am a teaching artist for both
Disney Musicals in Schools and Dancing
through NJPAC.  I am currently the Artistic Director for Manhattan's
Pied Piper Children's Theatre  I have taught private voice in for over 20 years and
am thrilled to be able to pass on the legacy my voice teachers left me.
My teaching technique is based on solid classical principals which
can surprisingly be translated straight across for great results
belting.  I will teach you:

1. Proper breathing and breath control

2. Proper lift of the soft pallet, relaxed throat and dropped jaw

3. Proper placement for brilliant resonance

I will help you develop your most beautiful natural voice.
