| Colleen Hawks lives in New York City and is married to actor Jeff Pierce. Colleen's Broadway debut was in the smash hit SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE where she performed the role originated by DeLee Lively. She was also in the smash hit Broadway show THE BOY FROM OZ (soprano of the TRIO) starring Hugh Jackman and most recently in the Musical as Fairy Godmother and the Voice of the Bluebird. She originally hails from California's Central Valley. She is a former California's Junior Miss, and also Miss Stanislaus County. After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from BYU she moved to L.A. where she performed for Disney, playing such singing roles as "Snow White", "Cinderella" and "Ariel (The Little Mermaid)" both on TV and stage (including tours to London, Paris, Munich, Holland, and China). She has lived in Japan, Korea and Holland. She has also traveled worldwide performing on cruise ships; from the Amazon in Brazil, Panama, Mexico, Canada, the South Pacific, Australia, Hong Kong, and Alaska. Colleen has performed as a magician's assistant and raised a baby lion as well as performing ariel acrobatics. Colleen's Off-Broadway credits include Manhattan Theatre Club's THE WILD PARTY by Andrew Lippa starring Taye Diggs, Idina Menzel, Julia Murney & Brian D'arcy James, DR. SEX (Phoebe) with Jennifer Simard, and a principal role in SHAKE THAT THING! (The Girl). Other NYC credits include principal roles in HURRY HURRY HOLLYWOOD! (Polly Sue also at MTC) , A QUEER CAROL (Ghost of Christmas Past) and DELPHI OR BUST (Zircony). Broadway workshops include THE BOY FROM OZ, SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS, and RUBIROSA. In NYC opera productions Colleen has performed in CANDIDE at the New York City Opera starring John Cullum and Judy Kaye, an Amoricae Production of THE MAGIC FLUTE (Papagena) and BABES in TOYLAND (Jill) at Avery Fisher Hall. Colleen has taught private voice lessons for over 20 years. She also teaches voice, dance, acting and musical theatre residencies in the NY and NJ area through Together in Dance, NJPAC, Dancing Classrooms and Disney Musicals in Schools. She teaches and directs for Paper Mill Playhouse's August Intensive and is the Artistic Director for the Children's Theatre of Northern Manhattan, NYC.
