Colleen Hawks lives in New York City and is married to actor Jeff Pierce.  She originally hails from California’s Central Valley.  She is a former California’s Junior Miss, and also Miss Stanislaus County.  Colleen’s Broadway debut was in the smash hit SMOKEY JOE’S CAFE where she performed the role originated by DeLee Lively.  She was also in the smash hit Broadway show   THE BOY FROM OZ (soprano of the TRIO) starring Hugh Jackman and most recently in                   the Musical as Fairy Godmother and the Voice of the Bluebird.

           After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree she moved to L.A. where she performed for
Disney, playing such singing roles as "Snow White", "Cinderella" and "Ariel (The Little Mermaid)" both on TV and stage (including tours to London, Paris, Munich, Holland, and China).  She has lived in Japan, Korea and Holland.  She has also traveled worldwide performing on cruise ships; from the Amazon in Brazil, to Mexico, Canada, the South Pacific, Australia, Hong Kong, and Alaska.

          Colleen’s Off-Broadway credits include Manhattan Theatre Club’s THE WILD PARTY by Andrew Lippa starring Taye Diggs,
DR. SEX (Phoebe), and a principal role in SHAKE THAT THING! (The Girl).  Other NYC credits include principal roles in HURRY HURRY HOLLYWOOD! (Polly Sue – also at MTC) , A QUEER CAROL (Ghost of Christmas Past) and DELPHI OR BUST (Zircony).  Broadway workshops include THE BOY FROM OZ, SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS, and RUBIROSA.

          In NYC opera productions Colleen has performed in
CANDIDE at the New York City Opera starring John Cullum and Judy Kaye, an Amoricae Production of THE MAGIC FLUTE (Papagena) and  BABES in TOYLAND (Jill) at Avery Fisher Hall.

         National Tours include
CRAZY FOR YOU (Polly Baker), and SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN (Kathy Seldon); also International Tours of GREASE (Sandy); THE WILL ROGERS FOLLIES (Mr. Ziegfeld's Favorite); and THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE (Mabel).

Colleen enjoys teaching.  She regularly choreographs for the Bronx High School of Science's Spring Musical and is the Musical Theatre Department Director for Rutgers Summer Acting Conservatory.
